You simply pay the tax adviser of your choice for the advice they provide and the work they do for you. Alternatively you can use the Tax Advice Helpline to access speedy straightforward telephone advice. You'll need to pay for this in advance - it's just under £30 incl VAT - so have your credit or debit card to hand when you call.
The website contains full profiles for each of our tax adviser members. We have also just introduced the facility for users to provide feedback and ratings on the advisers and their work. This will take time to build up!

This article arises from the writers observations on a couple of recent cases and it would be easy to fall foul of a negligence claim if you don't take proper care and attention. There is a suspicion that HMRC are trying to cut corners to get through all the "golden" information they hold and not apply the law as it was intended. Mark Lee, Chairman of the Tax Advice Network, has written a twenty page guide for anyone who may be confused as to the difference between an 'accountant' and a 'tax adviser'.

Chairman of the Tax Advice Network is it's founder, Mark Lee FCA CTA(Fellow), a former Chairman of the ICAEW Tax Faculty.
Mark believes that the Tax Advice Network is very different from the existing online directories, websites containing tax news and those aimed at the members of only one professional body.
"Our aim is to help our primary target audience - accountants seeking specialist tax support and advice for their clients."
As part of his role within the Network Mark is a regular speaker all over the UK at conferences and seminars for accountants, business owners and other advisers. His Speaker profile page is here.
